Walker gets Brig chance

Bamber Bridge have signed young midfielder Tom Walker from Padiham.

Walker, 20, made his debut in the 1-0 defeat to Grantham Town in the BetVictor Northern Premier at the weekend.

Brig's Director of Football, Neil Crowe said: “The management team here at Brig are delighted to be welcoming Tom to the Club. He’s a combatative midfielder, and at just 20 years old, he’s a really exciting prospect not just for the current squad, but also for the future.

“We are really pleased he’s chosen so sign for us, as he has attracted a lot of attention from other clubs.

“He trained with us earlier in the week, and likes what Joey [Collins] and Matt [Lawlor] are doing here at Brig.”
